Spotlight at Higher Education Center

Two of our team members, Kim Novak and Chris DeEulis, were selected to present in the Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Drug Misuse Prevention & Recovery’s Partners in Prevention Learning Collaborative.

Their program, Effective Collaboration Utilizing the Social Ecological Model in Fraternity and Sorority Life AOD Prevention Efforts, discuss applications of Collective Impact theory and the Social Ecological Model in broad-based prevention strategies for fraternity and sorority communities. Fraternities and sororities provide abundant examples of opportunities for exploration and are used to give participants tangible structures to analyze. The focus is on the partnership between campus professionals, students, and inter/national organizations.

A recording of the session is available through the Center’s Scarlet Course program.
