What do you Know About Hazing! 

2.5 hours (Train the Trainers or Teach the Talkers)

Using a high-energy interactive game show approach to learning about hazing and how to use knowledge to have authentic – truth based conversations about hazing and consequences it bring to our members, chapters, teams, clubs and community. Facilitator will set up teams, design potions of the game show to match campus culture, policies, etc. – Designed for audiences from 20-100 participants – ‘Winning” team will be awarded prize from NovakTalks.

Community Forum: Membership Development

.75 -1.0 hour (Fraternity & Sorority Specific)

Discussion group that will focus on purpose of all member development, provide insight into how hazing does not support purpose of on-boarding new members and can deteriorate the chapter beyond the new member experience. This program is not available for new members to attend. 

The room should be set for this program to be conducive to an open and informal dialogue.

Defusing the “H” Bomb

1.25 - 1.5 hours (Community Program for all student leaders and an identified percentage of members of the teams, clubs, chapters, and military organizations)

A frank discussion of how the destructive behavior of hazing fails to promote our commitments to our values, rituals, basic tenants of sportsmanship and the fundamental obligation to care for members of the community. The facilitator will challenge student leaders to rethink the role of hazing as part of the team, organization or chapter experience AND empower those that are committed to keeping hazing out of their member programs. Using current research the facilitator will help students better understand the unintended consequences of hazing and strategies for eliminating hazing practices as well as sustaining as a non-hazing organization or team. – can be developed for target populations such as ROTC, Athletes, or fraternity and sorority communities.
